We stayed in a deluxe room, which was incredibly spacious for the two of us. The bed was super comfortable, and the room had both a fan and air conditioning, making it perfect for the Zanzibar heat. I also loved the small reading area with books nearby, although I didn’t get the chance to sit and read. The rooftop was another highlight, with beautiful ocean views, which we could also enjoy right from the balcony in our room. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about this place. It’s hands down the best hotel I’ve ever stayed.

I just spent a couple nights here with my wife on our honeymoon. I can’t say enough about this place. The location is fantastic, the rooms are beautiful, the setting is intimate. The restaurant is exceptional. There are very few rooms in this hotel, allowing for a quiet experience that differs from a larger resort in experience in crucial ways. No scrambling for beach chairs, that kind of thing. Management will constantly ensure that you have what you want, be it drinks or an excursion or laundry service. The location in Jambiani is also fantastic- this is a very walkable, very safe area with many restaurants and bars besides the hotel bar. Never thought twice about walking the streets after dark. This kind of boutique experience makes the typical all-inclusive experience feel like Disney World, and for a cheaper or comparable price at Passions as well (even once you factor in the cost of food and bev). Can’t recommend this place enough.

But what really made it special was the staff — incredibly friendly, helpful, and always making sure we were happy. Madalina, the manager was amazing, always present and caring. You can feel the love and effort they put into everything. Our flight was late at night, and they let us stay and shower before heading to the airport — a small gesture that meant a lot and showed they care right until the very end. We’ll definitely be coming back!
